GA3: SOCHUM

The protection of human rights is the primary objective of the Social, Cultural, and Humanitarian Committee. Originally established in 1948, the committee's goals were to safeguard human rights, set globally recognized standards, and offer answers to the challenges facing social development and humanitarian aid. In essence, Sochum addresses issues including refugee crisis management, human trafficking, women's and children's rights protection, women's progress, public resource protection, and so on. First agenda of this committee will examine the stereotypes in Artificial Intelligence which are claimed to be discriminating against society. The second topic will include the brutality of police forces on certain ethnic and religious minorities in society. The last agenda will involve the impact of armed conflicts on young teenagers and adults and primarily focus on how to prevent them from joining an armed group. In order to provide comprehensive answers, members should first do a thorough analysis of the issues at hand, focus their study on long-term, sustainable policies, and make sure they have the financial resources to support their recommendations.
